David Guetta and Bebe Rexha reap top Streaming and Sales Gainer honors on Billboard‘s multimetric Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart (dated Sept. 17) with “I’m Good (Blue),” which holds at its No. 5 high in its second week on the survey. It earned 7.5 million official streams, up 46%, and sold 10,000 downloads in the U.S., up 6%, while also drawing 11.9 million radio airplay audience impressions, up 714%, in the Sept. 2-8 tracking week, according to Luminate.
As previously reported, “Blue” became Guetta’s 18th Hot Dance/Electronic Songs top 10, the fourth-most dating the chart’s 2013 inception, after Kygo (23), The Chainsmokers (22) and Calvin Harris (20), as well as Rexha’s fifth.
Concurrently, “Blue” – which interpolates Eiffel 65’s “Blue (Da Ba Dee),” a No. 6 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2000 – vaults 81-46 on the chart, also with the list’s top Streaming Gainer award. It repeats at No. 2 on Dance/Electronic Digital Song Sales and jumps 6-3 on Dance/Electronic Streaming Songs.
“Blue” also bolts 17-5 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. survey and 19-6 on the Billboard Global 200. It drew 36.9 million streams (up 59%) and sold 23,000 downloads (up 4%) worldwide in the tracking week.
Returning to the U.S.-based Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart, Beyoncé rebounds to a 10th week on top with “Break My Soul” (2-1). It’s the second-longest-leading hit this year, trailing only Elton John and Dua Lipa’s “Cold Heart (PNAU Remix),” which has logged 26 of its 36 total No. 1 weeks in 2022. (“Soul” gave way a week ago to John and Britney Spears’ “Hold Me Closer,” at No. 2 in its second frame.)
“Break” accumulated 42 million radio airplay audience impressions and 9 million streams and sold 3,000 Sept. 2-8. It also returns for a 10th week at No. 1 on Dance/Electronic Streaming Songs.
Meanwhile, Hudson Mohawke notches the week’s highest Hot Dance/Electronic Songs debut, at No. 21, with “Cbat,” after the 11-year-old song went viral on Reddit and TikTok. “Cbat” surged to 1.3 million official streams, from 168,000 a week before. (Older songs with meaningful new activity are permitted to appear on multimetric charts if ranking in a list’s upper half.)
